Asrani joins Akshay-Katrina in Priyan's DE DANA DAN

ASRANI | Veteran 'angrezon ke zamane ka jailor' comedian and character artist Asrani has been a favourite with comedy king, director Priyadarshan and has worked in many of his films. Prominent amongst them are HERA PHERI, BHOOL BHULAIYYAA, BHAGAM BHAAG, MALAMAAL WEEKLY and GARAM MASALA, to name a few. Even Shah Rukh Khan's home banner production, BILLOO BARBAR, being directed by Priyadarshan, has Asrani in a very special role.
Asrani has specially been very lucky for the Priyan–Akki team and whenever he has joined them the result has been extremely positive. Who can forget his rib tickling act in the recent BHOOL BHULAIYAA and BHAGAM BHAAG. So, as a sort of good luck charm, Asrani has been signed to play an important role in Venus Records & Tapes Pvt. Ltd.'s under production venture, DE DANA DAN. The film is being produced by Ratan Jain and has an ensemble star cast comprising Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy.
While on Asrani and Akshay, Asrani has also lent his voice to the character of Senapati in Percept Picture Company's Christmas release, the animation venture, JUMBO, which also has Akshay Kumar's voice over.
