Recession and economic meltdown may have resulted in quite a few film makers to keep their projects on holds or completely swear away from movie making business. But that hasn't deterred Robby Grewal from making his movies in a certain budget that doesn't prove to be a bomb and is reasonable enough to assure decent returns.
Director of films like SAMAY (Sushmita Sen, Jackie Shroff) and MP3 MERA PEHLA PEHLA PYAAR (Ruslaan Mumtaz, Hazel) has exciting plans for 2009 as he kick starts it with a spicy ALOO CHAAT. Starring Aftab Shivdasani and Aamna Sharif in the lead, this romantic comedy is all set for a February 2009 release.
Confirms Robby, "The film is complete and we should be beginning our promotional campaign soon. We are looking at devising the best possible strategy for our film since it is set in a medium budget and has to be positioned in the market wisely."
Meanwhile he continues to be active on the production front as well. He along with his brother Gary Grewal has wrapped up KUSARPRASAD KA BHOOT (Paresh Rawal, Randeep Hooda, Neetu Chandra) as well.
"Yes, we are into the post production of KUSARPRASAD KA BHOOT and would release it after ALOO CHAAT. We are looking at the April/May 2009 timeframe for the film to arrive. In addition, we also have a couple of more films ready to get on floors. We would make an announcement once the final cast is in place. That should happen soon", reveals Robby.
