TASHAN: Akshay and his kid brother!

The premier production house, Yashraj films has had a disappointing 2007, as most of their projects failed at the turnstile. The only saving grace was the Shimit Amin directed, 65-crore blockbuster, CHAKDE! INDIA starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Failures notwithstanding, Yashraj has an impressive line-up for 2008 and is expected to commence the year with a bang via the much awaited action extravaganza, TASHAN, featuring Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
The film unites the superhit male duo of the mid-90's, Akshay 'Khiladi' Kumar and 'Chhote Nawab' Saif Ali Khan, after almost a decade. The popularity of both these stars has since increased by leaps and bounds and trade expects a bumper opening.
While certain sections of the media raked up the 'differences between the two' issue, during the shooting of TASHAN, the fact is that there was nothing of that sort at all. In fact, not only did Akshay and Saif bond big time, doing their exercises together (remember our story on Saif and Akshay's Parkour trainer?), but the whole cast and crew of TASHAN had a whale of a time on Saif's birthday, last year.
Akshay on his part was shocked at the rivalry question and brushed it aside with a one liner- How can one have differences with his own kid brother, as that is what he considers Saif to be.
While we agree with Akshay's assertions, here's looking forward to seeing the 'Khiladi' and the 'Chhote Nawab' in action together!
