Ever since his 'aigzactly' performance in SALAAM NAMASTE, Javed Jaffrey has been seen in a different light. That of a whacky, over the top guy, who has a knack for comedy. Though he fought it off in his next release TA RA RUM PUM, he was still loved more when he performed as a 10 year old boy trapped in a man's body in Indra Kumar's DHAMAAL.
However, the actor is continuing to explore different horizons and one such movie that should project him in an altogether different light is SHAURYA. In a film which has absolutely no scope of Jaffrey turning over to buffoonery, SHAURYA features him as an Army man.
As Major Ram Kapoor, Javed Jaffrey plays the role of an ambitious young army lawyer who wants to reach the top while going by the rules. His character is shown to be the son of a very famous lawyer who comes from an army background and has been educated in the best of schools.
So all who believed that Javed Jaffrey was happy being stereotypically funny, think again as he is serious about not being one!
