Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja clash

They played foes in GANGSTER but it seems like the rivalry would be extended in real life as well. Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja who were on the opposite ends of the law in Anurag Basu's gripping drama GANGSTER would be locking horns this summer. Films starring each of them as a sole hero are slated to release on the same day i.e. 2nd May. They are JANNAT and HIJACK.
JANNAT is special since it brings back the hit combination of Bhatts, Hashmi and Pritam together after GANGSTER. This time around the drama shifts to the world of betting and match fixing nexus. Emraan Hashmi is the prime protagonist in JANNAT who plays a bookie of international repute. Sonal Mansingh is his co-star in the film as she makes her Bollywood debut. The film is directed by Kunal Deshmukh.
On the other hand HIJACK is an action flick that has Shiney Ahuja changing genres from heavy-duty drama to some high adrenalin stunts. As the title suggests, the film is centered on an airplane that gets hijacked by a bunch of terrorists. Shiney plays a rescuer as he takes on the terrorists single handedly with his mind games and averts disaster. Esha Deol plays an airhostess in this film, which has debutant director Kunal Shivdasani calling the shots.
With Emraan and Shiney playing interesting characters in the films belonging to completely different genres, it would be a great kick-start to the month of May with the release of JANNAT and HIJACK.
