Sunil Doshi, producer of BHEJA FRY, is ready with his next film. And before you start wondering if the film is yet another laugh riot, the answer is 'No'. Instead, this time around, Doshi has taken a serious route and made an English film with the title LOVESONGS: YESTERDAY, TODAY & TOMORROW.
Starring Jaya Bachchan in the lead role, LOVESONGS: YESTERDAY, TODAY & TOMORROW is a film that was hardly in news while being filmed. Directed by Jayabrato Chatterjee who also writes the story, screenplay and dialogues, the film features another veteran Om Puri. Others in the star cast are Mallika Sarabai, Rajat Kapoor and Neil Bhoopalam.
In the film, Jaya Bachchan plays the role of a Kolkata based widow who runs her own NGO for people with disabilities. While she is quite lovely, she has a past, which is revealed as the story moves forward. A film about how ordinary lives suddenly change because of extraordinary circumstances, LOVESONGS: YESTERDAY, TODAY & TOMORROW is a film catering to niche audience and is aiming for late March release.
