The new blue-eyed boy of tinsel town, Ranvir Shorey, is on different high these days. Obviously with something similar in most of his movies. And you guessed it all wrong! It's not the light hearted or funny characters, which he portrays usually, but the leading ladies with whom he is being paired opposite these days - from Madhuri Dixit to Mallika Sherawat and hold your breathe, Katrina Kaif, this lucky dude could manage to bag enough opportunities to woo these hotties on screen.
He played various characters that tickled the funny bones through hit films like PYAAR KE SIDE EFFECTS, KHOSLA KA GHOSLA but he grabbed the media focus with his intense role and pairing opposite Konkona Sen Sharma in TRAFFIC SIGNAL. When asked about his experience with Konkona he said, 'Konkana is a very measured person. She knows what she wants. She is next to perfectionism. On work part she will never compromise. She is inborn talent, acting skills is in her blood vein.'
After a notable performance, his journey embarked to few more popular films with some dazzling ladies of Bollywood like Diya Mirza in HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT LTD., wherein he was cast as Diya's spouse. 'Diya is very warm-hearted, beautiful person, her soft-spoken persona will definitely melt you (smilingly), and seriously as an actor also she is quite good,' informed Ranvir. He did the critically acclaimed and commercially successful film BHEJA FRY, wherein he had a character driven role.
Talking about his next pairing with the Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri dixit in AAJA NACHLE he added, 'She is truly a goddess, the real Bollywood diva.' And about his experience and initial reactions working with the legendry lady, he cheerfully shared, 'I thoroughly enjoyed working with the legendry, Initially I used to just peep her on the sets, I used to notice the way she conducts, her dedication towards work, energy levels which she carries even today, her graceful dance, seriously that makes her stand apart.' And about his dancing experience with the poised dancer he perkily said with a sparkle in his eyes, 'It was excellent, finally I also learnt dancing.'
And now 2008 which is ready to rock for Ranvir; not only for playing the lead roles in the upcoming flicks, but also being paired with the hottest Mallika sherawat in UGLY AUR PAGLI and Neha dhupia in MITHYA & I M 24, when asked about his forthcoming pairings, says Ranvir with a blissful tone, 'Well both these ladies are good pals of mine, Mallika is very sharp in her work & she is exuberant, while Neha has explosive feminine on screen, she oozes her sexuality in very subtle & elegant manner.'
Also on one hand he will be seen sharing screen space with, latest favourite of Sallu, Katrina Kaif in SINGH IS KING, and on the other hand he is paired with DIL CHAHTA HAI fame Sonali Kulkarni in SIRF.
Seriously, his guy-next-door appearance, on screen wit, facial expressions, humorous one-liners and the way he delivers himself with ease, which just kills the audience with mirth and surely makes him the conqueror to play such sparkling characters. Ask him about his feelings getting a chance to be paired with these hotties and he laughingly quips, ' Well, I think I am lucky enough to get such reasonable opportunities and work with the hot divas of Bollywood, but my only hard luck is that I don't finally get any of these girls in my movies…(LOL)'.
Finally, who amongst all these hotties is Ranvir's favourite? He is quite diplomatic at that. And anyone form the yesteryear legends, whom he would have loved to work with and promptly he replies before signing off, 'I would have loved to work with Zeenat Aman, as she was one of the hottest of her decades (with jovial gesture) and also one of the good actors of the industry'.
