Now Priyanka's DRONA confirmed for 2nd October release

It is pretty much apparent that release dates of films starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead are being announced in quick succession. Apart from DOSTANA (for which Karan Johar recently confirmed plans for 14th November), even DRONA now sees a date announcement for itself. Though there were unconfirmed reports about the film's arrival for last so many weeks, finally the Abhishek Bachchan-Priyanka Chopra starrer is now all set for a 2nd October release.
Arriving under the banner of Rose Movies and Eros Entertainment, the film is produced by Shrishti Arya and directed by Goldie Behl who had made his directorial debut with BAS ITNA SA KHWAB HAI (Abhishek Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Rani Mukherjee and Jackie Shroff). Now seven years after the release of his first film which wasn't quite successful at the box office, Goldie returns with DRONA which is touted to be a fantasy action thriller.
Also starring Jaya Bachchan and Kay Kay Menon in principal roles, the film was initially slated for release late last year but was postponed due to requirement of extensive special effects which were a must for a film belonging to this genre.
