Ramesh Taurani is busy celebrating. His latest production KISMAT KONNECTION has turned out to be a success as well regardless of numerous critics choosing to rip it apart.

"They complained that the film was too simple in nature. They also felt that the climax wasn't volatile enough", says an amused Taurani who did come up with a volatile RACE earlier this year.

"But then every film can't have a climax like RACE", defends Taurani, "RACE required a thrilling climax because it was a thriller, as simple as that. It needed twists in the end, a couple of them in fact, since the film in entirety was made of numerous twists."

"On the other hand, at the very onset it was established that KISMAT KONNECTION was supposed to be a simple film", explains Taurani, "Right from the time we started filming KISMAT KONNECTION to it's promos to the interviews, we maintained that this was a simple film. So why were some people taken aback with the climax which was again supposed to be plain sweet and simple?"

He adds, "We couldn't have gone for an over dramatic climax. We couldn't have asked Boman Irani to make his speech longer just for 'the effect'. We didn't see any need of adding any confronting sequences just for the sake of it. Aziz Mirza (the director) had a vision and I am glad he stuck to it. The film has done well throughout its first week and made very good money for everyone involved. All in all, it has been much more than just a satisfying experience for all of us associated with KISMAT KONNECTION."

Incidentally this is TIPS and Shahid third film together after ISHQ VISHK and FIDA. While former was a hit, second wasn't. However, KISMAT KONNECTION has turned out to be the biggest of them all.
