MUMBAI SALSA's sex maniac gets relaunched by Ramu

Amruta Khanvilkar. The name may not ring much bell. And even if we say that the girl made her big screen debut with last year's release MUMBAI SALSA, it would be difficult for most to bring on any recollection.
However, let's give a little background of this young woman who was quite a revelation in her debut outing. In the film, she played the role of a pub-hopping girl who was always on lookout of a one night stand in her life. Her conversations invariably revolved around sex in the movie (never mind a broken relationship being the cause of it) and as a sex maniac, she played her part with perfection.
Hailing from Pune, the girl who has also been a Zee Music anchor is now being re-launched by Ram Gopal Varma in an altogether different avtar. The film maker's next two films have the actress playing a key role. While CONTRACT is an underworld-meets-terrorism drama, PHOONK is a horror flick. Apparently in PHOONK, Amruta makes a complete departure from her MUMBAI SALSA persona and is instead seen as a saree clad mother of two children.
Incidentally in real life, Amruta is quite afraid of darkness, ghosts and cats crossing the road. Also, she is quite superstitious and religious.
After discoveries/relaunches of actresses like Urmila Matondkar, Antara Mali, Priyanka Kothari, Rukhsaar and Jiah Khan, it would be interesting to see what kind of 'contract' does Ramu build with Amruta over the coming months.
