T-Series acquires 20 UTV films' music!

 Industry is well acquainted with T-Series. India's premier music label T-Series ventured with many big banner movies like OM SHANTI OM, HEYY BABY, BHOOL BHULAIYAA, PARTNER, MITHYA, KRAZZY 4, etc. Its association has always been fruitful. And now the music giant is set to break all the records with its recent association.
It is learnt from reliable sources that in a landmark deal with UTV, T-Series has acquired the music rights for 20 forthcoming films of UTV Motion Pictures at a whopping of 27.50 crores. Whereas, according to some other sources it is heard that the deal stands for 14 films at 40 crores . Whatever may be the equation but the deal is truly a landmark one. The major titles include Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's DILLI 6 starring Abhishek Bachchan & Sonam Kapoor at Rs. 5 crores, MAIN AUR MRS. KHANNA starring Salman Khan & Kareena Kapoor at Rs. 6 crores, two films starring Shahid Kapur at Rs. 3.5 crores each.
UTV, one of the largest production houses, earlier this year had stepped into the music industry with JODHA AKBAR launching the music of the film under its own label UTV music.
When T-Series spokesperson was contacted he refused to comment anything on the deal.
