Meet 'Pankaj Udaas' of SINGH IS KINNG

As the release date of SINGH IS KINNG comes nearer, the film is seemingly turning out to be one whacky outing with every passing day.
If the nostalgia of JULIE seems to making it's impression with Neha Dhupia being called by that name in this Anees Bazmee directed film, Akshay Kumar's role of a 'Singh' is already creating headlines. Moreover, Om Puri is called as none other than RANGEELA in the film.
Well, if this wasn't enough then there is more to come.
Apparently there is a character in the film who is supposed to be spoofing none other than Pankaj Udhaas in the film. No wonder, his name in SINGH IS KINNG is, hold your breath, Pankaj 'Udaas'!
Confirms a source attached to the film, "Character actor Yashpal Sharma is playing the role of 'Pankaj Udaas' in the film. SINGH IS KINNG is a funny outing and Yashpal, who all this while has been seen as a villain in most of his films, would be seen in a comic role in SINGH IS KIING. In any case, Bazmee bhai's films are known for their holds-no-bar humor and SINGH IS KINNG is no exception. The character of Pankaj Udaas is written in such a manner that it would certainly get the house down."
Yashpal Sharma has been on the Bollywood scene for more than a decade with his debut film being HAZAAR CHAURASI KI MAA (1998). Some of his most notable performances have been in films like APAHARAN, SEHAR, KISNA, AB TAK CHAPPAN, CHAMELI, GANGAAJAL, DUM, LAGAAN and SHOOL.
SINGH IS KINNG would be Sharma's first brush with comedy.
