Commanding probably the biggest budget of any Bollywood movie to date, audiences are in for a cinematic treat as LOVE STORY 2050 prepares to premiere on the 4th July.

Not only offering everything that audiences love and have come to expect from a Bollywood movie - beautiful stars and settings, heroic battles between good and evil, love and romance, music and dance - this movie offers more than its predecessors in that it is set in the future, boasts state-of-the-art special effects and was filmed on location in South Australia.

The film stars Harman Baweja, who is making his big debut with LOVE STORY 2050 and Priyanka Chopra, the popular leading lady of Bollywood and former Miss World (2000).

Set in 2050 Harman and Priyanka play Karan and Sana whose romance crosses time and space, switching between present day South Australia and futuristic Mumbai. This is a story filled with iconic South Australian landscapes and futuristic flying cars, villains and ninjas, laser guns and robots.

Filmed on South Australia's Kangaroo Island (renowned as Australia's Galapagos), in the Outback and in the State capital Adelaide, it is easy to recreate one's own South Australian 'Love Story.'

When interviewed by journalists about their stay in South Australia during the shooting of the film, both Harman and Priyanka were very enthusiastic and positive both expressing a keenness to return for a holiday.

Priyanka on the other hand was impressed with South Australia's natural beauty and its wildlife. 'Australia has always been on my holiday wish list as I am fascinated by wide open spaces. Of all the places we visited, Kangaroo Island had a greatest impression on me.'

The film's director, Harry Baweja was also full of praise for the destination: 'Everyone in South Australia made it so easy for us to make this film. With a film making tradition of their own meant, our local contacts could appreciate a director's needs and provide us with all possible assistance whether it be help in finding a film location, equipment or accommodation. Being here meant less problems to worry about.'

Speaking on the association with LOVE STORY 2050, Andrew McEvoy, Chief Executive of the South Australian Tourism Commission said, 'Bollywood is big and through this film millions of Indians and global film buffs will see some of the best of Adelaide and South Australia including Kangaroo Island - one of the world's great wildlife experiences.'
