Ever wondered where the actor with the drop-dead good looks has disappeared? Yes, it's Chandrachur Singh that we are referring to. The talented and promising actor made an impactful debut with ABCL's TERE MERE SAPNE (1996), along with Arshad 'Circuit' Warsi and followed it up with a brilliant performance in Gulzar's hard hitting, MAACHIS (1996). In 1999 he was seen holding his own against the mighty Sanjay Dutt in Raj Kanwar's DAAG -THE FIRE and melting hearts with SILSILA HAI PYAR KA. He impressed one and all with Kundan Shah's runaway success, KYA KEHNA (2000). And of course, who can forget Mansoor Khan's JOSH (2000), where he stepped into the shoes of an actor of the calibre of Aamir Khan and romanced Miss World, Aishwarya Rai!
However, since AAMDANI ATTHANNI KHARCHA RUPAIYA, not much has been heard about the former teacher from a Doon public school, though he was last seen in the much delayed, SARHAD PAR.
Without getting into what, where, how and why, we have good news for the fans (especially female) of the quiet and shy actor. Well, Chandrachur Singh is ready to make a comeback. The project in question will be a children's film and is being produced by his brother, Abhimanyu's production house, Contiloe Films.
For those who are not aware, Chandrachur's ideal is Aamir Khan, so here is wishing Chandrachur the same level of success and critical acclaim that Aamir Khan was accorded with his children's film, the blockbuster TAARE ZAMEEN PAR.
