A couple of years back, Emraan Hashmi had a string of moderate successes, aided by some chart conquering music. Who can forget MURDER, ZEHER, AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE, AKSAR and GANGSTER, all had hugely popular scores that rocked the nation combined with a reasonably thrilling plot.
The above-mentioned films contributed in giving Emraan Hashmi the title of the serial kisser. Quite amusingly, Emraan recently got a taste of his own medicine during a reality show!
However, Emraan's attempt to break free from his image failed miserably and a string of flops followed. Even the well made AWARAPAN from the Bhatts failed at the turnstile despite some hit music. But it now appears that happy days are here once again for Emraan Hashmi. If the promos and music of the upcoming Bhatt venture, JANNAT is any indication, it seems that Emraan has a winner on hands. Reason, JANNAT appears to be a trademark Emraan Hashmi film which has him in his own well-loved 'avatar'. Yes, the serial kisser is back and is up to his own 'antics', a routine that has endeared him to his fans! The music is a sureshot chart scorcher and what also goes in favour of JANNAT is the subject, which is the passion of India, cricket, and that too its dirty, untouched side with match fixing scandals, betting etc.
So it's welcome back to Emraan and we wish him all the best for JANNAT, which is all set for a scorching summer release on the 2nd of May.
