Jimmy Sheirgill is all set to score a hat trick when it comes to acting alongside Amitabh Bachchan. After MOHABBATEIN (2000) and EKLAVYA - THE ROYAL GUARD (2007), he is all set to be in the same frame as Bachchan senior for Shoojit Sircar directed SHOEBITE. The two have already shot together for a substantial part of the film.
'It's an honor to be working alongside Mr. Bachchan', says Jimmy, 'The film is also special because unlike some of my recent films that were big but had me only in a cameo or a guest appearance, SHOEBITE stars me in a full on role. The film has four principal characters which includes Sarika and Dia Mirza other than Amitabh Bachchan and me.
After YAHAAN, he also pairs up with director Shoojit Sircar who has been acknowledged for extracting a career best performance from him.
'We had worked together in YAHAAN and it was an unspoken pact that we would certainly be working together again', Jimmy gets candid here, 'Though in the initial stages of script writing, Shoojit would tell me that he would look at me playing some part in the film at least, he later offered had a major part written for me.'
What is it in particular which he likes in Shoojit's style of working? 'I like the way he works since he believes in improvising. He is not stuck with a particular idea and open to taking the scene to the next level of the suggestions hold good', Jimmy informs.
Jimmy has quite an eventful 2008 ahead. Apart from SHOEBITE, he would also be seen in films as diverse as WEDNESDAY (thriller), HASTE HASTE (comedy), BACHELOR PARTY (comedy), BBD (drama) and FLAT (horror).
