Rani Mukherji

With her power-packed performances with each consecutive movie she became the real 'Rani' of Bollywood. This light-eyed, dusky beauty with husky voice began her career with RAJA KI AAYEGI BARAAT (1996) when she was in her adolescence. Rani's road to stardom started from GHULAM (1998) with the then famous 'Khandala' song; with K Jo's KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI (1998) she almost entered the big league of Bollywood.

Though, after that few of her movies couldn't perform very well at the Box-office. But it was SAATHIYA (2002) that re-invented her career and image by giving her commercial and critical success. And with CHALTE CHALTE (2003) opposite Shah Rukh she gave a back-to-back hit. Year 2004 proved as hattrick for Rani with uninterrupted hits like YUVA, HUM TUM and VEER ZAARA, making her the first actress to win two major awards in the same year.

Rani touched the peak and became the numero uno actress of Bollywood with Bhansali's masterpiece BLACK (2005). With BLACK she proved to be the best and even sharp-tongue critics couldn't stop praising her performance. BUNTY AUR BABLI (2005) added another feather to her cap, with superb donning various looks and a complete entertainer Rani became the unbeatable leading lady of Bollywood. She also gave a mature performance in KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA, which opened to mixed reviews but emerged as the most successful movie ever overseas.

Though 2007 couldn't yield Rani same triumph, but we really wish today on her 30th birthday, she be the undisputed top actress forever. May the talented actress be the queen of hearts perpetually!

Wish your favourite actress a very happy birthday.
