It is going to be celebration time for many a cast and crew members of TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, WELCOME and MITHYA this weekend as the three films reach major milestones of their box office run. While TAARE ZAMEEN PAR and WELCOME complete 100 days at theaters, MITHYA too would be enjoying it's 50 days run.

Out of the three flicks, while WELCOME was a solid blockbuster from Day 1 of the film's release, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR picked up immensely after a good start and turned out to be a blockbuster in itself. Meanwhile MITHYA consolidated over it's decent beginning and survived the onslaught of JODHAA AKBAR, which released only a week later.

In fact SUPERSTAR, which released alongside MITHYA, was heavily promoted and backed by Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd. and wasn't a bad movie to watch at all, failed at the box office and had to bow out within a fortnight.

While TAARE ZAMEEN PAR is still earning some decent moolah at the box office, WELCOME and MITHYA have near about ended their run. In fact the DVDs of these two films have hit the stands more than 3 weeks back and are doing bumper business all over. Now one waits to see what special does Aamir Khan have in store for the home video version of TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, which is yet to arrive on the stands!
