All those who have watched RACE have a common thing to say that it is one of the most complex yet fun thriller to have been made in recent times. In fact a shock every 15 minutes has been the highlight of RACE, as a twist in the tale never fails to arrive just at the time when one starts feeling comfortable about the plot.

Laughs Abbas, "We had to be careful about RACE since a consistent tempo had to be maintained throughout the narrative. One slip and the film would have fallen like a pack of cards. We couldn't have underestimated audience's intelligence. Exposure to world cinema means that it is not difficult for many to predict what's next in store. This is why an additional effort went into making a tout screenplay."

On being asked if RACE was their toughest film to direct, Abbas said, "I won't say toughest but certainly one of the most challenging projects we have undertaken. First and foremost this was our first multi starrer ever. We have worked with 2-3-4 stars but never with 6 top mainstream stars. To get them footage that justifies their character and still doesn't deviate from the plot, we had to work hard. Moreover, as I said earlier, we had to keep the audience thoroughly engaged. Well, we are glad to see that this has paid off well with the film doing bumper business all over."
