Rohit Shetty | GOLMAAL RETURNS is a success and practically each and every spoof has managed to strike a chord with the audience. One of them is the repeat of the BLACK spoof where Arshad Warsi does a take on Rani Mukherjee's blind act as he walks out of a ladies washroom.
"Yes, I know that audience has loved the scene for the second time around though let me confess that it was originally not a part of the film", reveals Rohit, "It was during the making of SUNDAY when quite a few kids asked me whether I was going to have the BLACK scene again in the sequel to GOLMAAL. They wanted the spoof to continue. This is when I said to myself that when audience has a certain expectation from me, why should I try to do anything different?"
Was Ajay Devgan's entry on two hummers also a result of that?
"Exactly", Rohit responds quickly, "I had shown him arriving on two bikes in GOLMAAL and now audience wanted to know how he makes an entry in GOLMAAL RETURNS. This is when the hummer idea came around."
He shocks though by stating that Ajay was not cabled when he did the balancing act on the hummers.
"There was no support whatsoever since we had to show his entire profile on a long shot as well. Also, using a cable wouldn't have got the same effect. We had to hire an airport strip for the sequence with the cars running at the speed of 50 kmph. In the same way, even the arrival of Arshad and Amrita on a bike was choreographed with no cabling at all. Thankfully, everyone out there seemed to be enjoying their own stunts", smiles Rohit.
