Now Gracy Singh too has a double bill

Unbelievable but true. Gracy Singh, who has been out of circulation for close to 4 years now and had her last release YEHI HAI ZINDAGI arriving at theaters around 3 years back, would now be seen on the big screen this Friday. Well, the surprising part is, 14th November would see two of her films releasing together! These are DESH DROHI and CHANCHAL. While DESH DROHI has been a relatively new film, CHANCHAL was completed years back and is now been readied for release sans any publicity whatsoever.
Directed by Indrajit, CHANCHAL sees Gracy Singh playing the title role. The film has a Punjabi setting to it and stars veterans like Bindu and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. A truly non–happening project which has been further killed due to huge delay in it's release, CHANCHAL may in fact well be overtaken by her other film DESH DROHI which at the least has some hopes of finding an audience in the interiors of North India due to it's explosive theme of a common man from North trying to find a foot hold in Maharashtra. The film is being heavily publicized and is trying to make inroads into its target audience, the front benchers in the cow belt, who are expected to accept the action theme of DESHDROHI.
On the other hand, the storyline of CHANCHAL revolves around Gracy and her grand mother Bindu who rejects numerous prospective grooms in her search for the perfect man for her grand daughter. The film revolves around the relationship between Gracy and Bindu and doesn't quite have any place for a leading man.
With four other stuck projects already in her kitty in the form of CHOORIYAN, DIL HUMKO DIJIYE, THE WHITE LAND and ASEEMA – BEYOND BAUNDARIES and no other project of repute in the pipeline, it doesn't take an Einstein to figure out the way Gracy's career is heading.
