Salman finds Katrina's look-alike: Fact or fiction!

Just a few days back media was abuzz with the news that Anil Sharma's costume action extravaganza, VEER, starring Salman Khan in the title role, was all set to feature a
new leading lady. The USP of the leading lady was that she was supposed to be Salman Khan's good friend Katrina Kaif's look–alike. The media (read telly) even flashed pictures of a starlet, Amrit as the (supposed) look–alike leading lady.
However, this is far from the truth. Amrit is not the leading lady of VEER. The lucky lady is Zarine Khan, and as per Salman Khan himself, she does not resemble Katrina Kaif at all. Salman adds that Zarine is also not at all like Amrit, whose picture was flashed on television as his VEER co–star.
So, sadly this is not a case of history repeating itself. Movie buffs will remember how Sneha–Ullaal's (Aishwarya Rai's look–alike) debut in LUCKY– NO TIME FOR LOVE opposite Salman Khan, was blown out of proportion by the media but was definitely successful in heightening the curiosity of the viewers, and as a result the film got a thunderous opening at the box–office. And so, it is not surprising that a part of media, which believes in sensationalism, always jumps to conclusions, without checking out the facts.
