After HAZARON KHWAHISHEN AISI, Chitrangda Singh sees yet another release of hers where she is a central protagonist. In Onir directed SORRY BHAI, she is the center of attraction of two brothers Sanjay Suri and Sharman Joshi. While she is thrilled that she has got such a great welcome back into Bollywood with the film, she feels that it is high time, especially after HKA and recent success FASHION, that films with women as the central protagonist, start getting much more visibility and standing amongst the audience.
"Really, the times have changed and women are becoming superstars. FASHION is a recent example. In any case, tell me if you see a single film being made without women. So why not start defining good roles for the leading ladies rather than just using them as decorative items. When you can't sell a film without a woman, better give her that standing in the film as well", says Chitrangda who is aiming for substantial roles in future as well.
"At the moment, I am scared about what audience and critics would be looking at from me. All actors have that insecurity thing in them and I am no different", she replies when questioned about audience expectations. She is ecstatic though about the rousing welcome she got ever since she announced her 'comeback'!
"Right from the time we started shooting for SORRY BHAI, the film is being talked about. Media got to know that I was coming back and I was so pleasantly surprised to see them all being wonderfully nice to me. It was a very warm welcome, though I was hesitant to begin with since I wasn't too sure about what to expect. Now that the film has released, my work should speak for itself", concludes Chitrangda.
