KHALLBALLI FUN UNLIMITED is aiming for a release on 5th December (though looking at current scenario after Mumbai attack, one can't be sure about the final timelines) and director Ajay Chandok would be seeing a second release of his after NEHLLE PE DEHLLA. What made him opt for a new boy Nikhil Dwivedi in a lead role after working with superstars like Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan and Bilasha Basu in his debut outing NEHLLE PE DEHLLA?
"It was the demand of the film's script that I rope in a new guy", states Nikhil, "But then again, I could not have taken any actor out there; he had to be good enough. MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES, Nikhil's first film, may not have worked but those who have seen the film know that the young boy comes with potential. He was good in the film and so is he in KHALLBALLI as well."
He has high regard for Chunky Pandey as well, the hero turned character actor who has been around for 20 years in the industry.
"As an assistant to David Dhawan, I have worked with Chunky in films like AAG HI AAG and AANKHEN. When I walked up to him for KHALLBALLI, he just told me that 'Bro, anything for you'! He was one of the senior most on the sets but never let anyone around him uncomfortable due to that. He is such a hardworking guy and I am glad that he added on to the USP of roping in '32 comic actors in one film'", smiles Chandok.
