Saira Banu thanks well wishers, friends

Send to Friend

It is with a deep sense of gratitude to the Almighty that I am informing you that Dilip Sahab & I are back home in Mumbai as well and happy as we've always been. We missed spending the day with our well–wishers and friends on Idd this year. For years now it has been our good fortune to receive our friends in our home and exchange warm greetings on occasions like Idd, Diwali, Christmas, New Year, Sahab's birthday and our wedding anniversary (October 11) and Sahab's birthday (December 11) a little more special than usual, Inshallah.

Dilip Sahab is well now and recouping steadily. He received wonderful treatment and loads of affection and personal attention from the brilliant physicians and caring nursing staff of Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. It was a high grade fever that came up with a urinary tract infection (UTI in medial parlance) that made the hospitalization necessary for investigations and monitoring. It is rightly said that there is no place in the world which can be better than home. We were transported home literally like flowers with gentle care and exceptional efficiency by JET AIR on October 3.

How reassuring it is for Sahab and me to be home in familiar surroundings, in the midst of our loving family and our kind friends. It is a Herculean effort to thank all our well–wishers and friends individually. Such wonderful messages, phone calls, letters, flowers and prayers which deserve much more appreciation than the words, thank you. Allow me to express my gratitude through the columns of your esteemed publication.

– Saira Banu
