ROCK ON girl Shahana to rock on!

ROCK ON was being widely publicized as a film which would mark the debut of pretty girl Prachi Desai. However, in spite of a decent act from Prachi, the one who seems to be walking away with the accolades is the other lead heroine in the film - Shahana Goswami (who plays Arjun Rampal's wife). And no, contrary to popular misconception, ROCK ON is not the first movie for which Shahana has faced the camera. She has earlier played bit roles in films like YUN HOTA TOH KYA HOTA and HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD. (which was produced by Farhan and Ritiesh themselves).
Graduating from a couple of scenes to a much larger platform, Shahana has performed, and how! The good news is that it won't be a long wait before she is seen in major roles in films to come. Soon to arrive is RU-BA-RU which is looking at a 12th September release. As a solo lead opposite Randeep Hooda, she gets an opportunity to sink her teeth into another interesting character.
This would be followed by FIRAAQ which is already making waves in international film festivals and would be aiming for a theatrical release in India before year end. Directed by Nandita Das, the film sees Shahana in the elite company of actors like Naseruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Raghuveer Yadav, Deepti Naval, Sanjay Suri and Tisca Chopra
Apart from these films, Shahana also has Sudhir Mishra directed TERA KYA HOGA JOHNY? in hand which has 'Johny' boy Neil Nitin Mukesh in lead. The film which is fast progressing towards the finishing line, it stars Soha Ali Khan and Karan Nath in other principal roles.
With such a repertoire of films in hand and the biggest of film makers in Bollywood hailing her act in ROCK ON! Shahana is certainly looking at a rocking future ahead!
