A few years back there was a project titled CHAL CHALA CHAL announced with Govinda. This was the time when Govinda was looking at making a comeback into Bollywood and BHAGAM BHAG, SALAAM E ISHQ and PARTNER were yet to be released.

As Govinda got busy with the aforementioned projects, CHAL CHALA CHAL was put on a backburner. While BHAGAM BHAG and PARTNER turned into box office success stories and SALAAM E ISHQ got Govinda some critical acclaim, there was no sign of CHAL CHALA CHAL. In fact in the interim he even went on to do MONEY HAI TO HONEY HAI, which didn't bring any money whatsoever to those who had invested in the film. Meanwhile the makers of CHAL CHALA CHAL tried to revive the film by promoting a song from the film, which was incidentally titled 'Money Bhi Hai, Honey Bhi Hai', that had Govinda shaking a leg or two with Raima Sen. This didn't help either and the film was off the news yet again.

However, now as a plethora of films is looking at a revival route in the month of September, courtesy biggies staying away from the Ramzan period, CHAL CHALA CHAL (which is directed by TK Rajeev Kumar) too is back in news. The film's promos are back on air and release date has been announced as 26th September.

One wonders though if this would still help the film succeed at the box office since Govinda is hardly promoting the movie, the promos are focused more on Rajpal Yadav and biggies like DRONA and KIDNAP arrive just a week later on 2nd October?
