Sanjay Dutt would be enjoying a rare double bill in the month of October as two major films featuring him as a central protagonist would be releasing in a gap of mere 3 weeks. These are KIDNAP and EMI, both of which boast of Sanjay Dutt as the star attraction.

Both KIDNAP and EMI have been delayed by a few months though. However, in the unpredictable world of Bollywood, the release date of both the films is now quite close to each other. While KIDNAP has been confirmed for 2nd October, the makers of EMI too have announced 29th October as the D-day.

Relief comes in the form of diverse roles that Sanju baba plays in both the films. While in KIDNAP he plays a suave businessman who is a billionaire, EMI has him as a lovable 'Sattarbhai' who is supposedly a recovery agent.

However, this would be after more than a year that Sanjay Dutt is seen as one of the principal characters in a film.

Though he has been seen in seven films ever since SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA saw him locking horns with Vivek Oberoi, he didn't have a pivotal role to play in any of these films. Except for DHAMAAL which still boasted of some screen presence of him in spite of the film mainly being the story of four youngsters (Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Ashish Chaudhary, Javed Jaffrey), Sanjay Dutt only had a song and dance appearance in OM SHANTI OM, WOODSTOCK VILLA and C KKOMPANY. He had a single shot to his credit in SUPERSTAR while DUS KAHANIYAAN had him in one of the 10 minute segments. MEHBOOBA did feature him as one of the leads but it was a forgettable outing as the film was 10 years in the making.

Now with KIDNAP and EMI, Sanjay Dutt would finally be seen in a lead once again; something which would certainly keep his fans and followers wanting for more!
