Vinod Khanna returns after two years with 99

Two years after he was seen in a forgettable flick that went by the name of RISK, Vinod Khanna would be returning to the big screen with a film called 99. A comic thriller, 99 stars Kunal Khemu and Soha Ali Khan in the lead along with Cyrus Broacha and Simone Singh.
If the first look of the film is any indication, Vinod Khanna is all set for a powerful appearance in the film as he appears to be playing a pivotal role in the proceedings. A film dominated by senior actors like Mahesh Manjrekar and Boman Irani, Vinod Khanna is very much a welcome addition as his debonair appearance add further glamour to 99.
Coming with 40 years of acting experience behind him, Vinod Khanna has always been known for a mischievous touch in his personality that has invariably been lapped up by the masses. This is what is expected in 99 as well which is seemingly a breezy entertainer in the offering.

Much missed on the acting scene over the years gone by, his appearances have been far and few with RISK (2007) coming five years after KRANTI (2002). Before that he was seen as a main villain in DEEWANAPAN (2001) that had come four years after DHAAL (1997) and HIMALYAPUTRA (1997).
With just 5 films in last 12 years, it is quite obvious that Vinod Khanna has been extremely choosy in his assignments. This further sets high expectations from 99 since Vinod Khanna giving his consent only adds on a prestige value to the film.
Produced by Anupam Mittal & Aditya Shastri and directed by Raj Nidimoru & Krishna DK, 99 is expected to arrive in the month of May.
