After working with Amitabh Bachchan in his very first film BHOOTHNATH, film maker Vivek Sharma managed to rope in another veteran actor Rishi Kapoor for a principle role in his very next film KAL KISSNE DEKHA. Even though the film is a youthful romantic thriller with ample doses of entertainment, there was a part in the film for which Vivek wanted an accomplished senior actor. This is when he thought about Rishi Kapoor.

However, there is an interesting story that goes behind the casting of Rishi Kapoor in the movie. Apparently, the actor was apprehensive about working in the film which is a launchpad of Jackky Bhagnani and Vaishali Desai. Also, considering some of the offers coming his way that have been cliched and formulaic all the way, he was left wondering if he was required to play the father of one of either Jackky or Vaishali.

CHECK OUT: Jackky & Vaishali reminded me of my younger days

Remembers Vivek, ''When I met Rishi Kapoor ji, the first thing that he asked was, ''Heroine ka baap banaayega mujhe ya Hero ka?'' To this I replied that ''Aapko film ka hero banaaunga....'' This was it. Though it was a way to begin conversation, Rishiji was all ears. When I narrated the film to him, he got so excited that he went to the extent of stating that this was the role that he wanted to play for last 30 years.''

Rishi Kapoor too fondly remembers the time that he shot for KAL KISSNE DEKHA for his role as a Professor. ''I was quite happy to be a part of a setup where things moved as per the plan and the entire shooting was wrapped up in quick time without any hassles and delays. I realized the value of Vivek as a director. He is extremely passionate about his work and his involvement in each and every stage of the project is exemplary.''

It's a mutual admiration society out there as Vivek too has nothing but kind words to say about the actor who plays a pivotal part in the proceedings on this film where the lead protagonist (Jackky) comes with the power to look into the future.

CHECK OUT: Rishi Kapoor is impressed with Jackie Bhagnani's moves

''I love Rishiji's energy, his spontaneity. I wanted him so badly in the film and I am fortunate that I could have him on board. There is so much of childlike excitement in him. It used to be such a beautiful sight to see him interacting with Jackky. He is genuinely warm when it comes to meeting with actors from the next generation. He gives them so much of love'', says Vivek who is eagerly awaiting the 1st May release of the film.

''I got my dream cast. Period. I have wanted to make films with Rishiji and now my dream is coming true'', are Vivek's concluding words.
