CHAK DE woman Shilpa (a.k.a. Bindia) in FROZEN

Much before Shilpa Shukla became Bindya Naik in CHAK DE INDIA, Shilpa Shukla had begun work on a film called FROZEN which is now getting ready for release. While she had Shah Rukh Khan for company in CHAK DE INDIA, FROZEN sees her paired opposite none other than Danny Denzongpa. In the film, both of them are seen as husband and wife.
Says a source close to Shilpa, "Much before CHAK DE INDIA happened to her, Shilpa was happily doing offbeat films. In fact even before FROZEN, she had also worked in KHAMOSH PAANI way back in 2004. The film was hailed for Kirron Kher's performance but Shilpa too was noticed by those who saw the film. Though it has been a little on and off for her as far as momentum pertaining to her Bollywood stint is concerned, she is trying to work her way out."

After the success of CHAK DE INDIA, Shilpa was signed for JUNCTION but this Abhay Deol starrer project never took off. Last heard, Abhay is turning producer with this film but there is uncertainty around Shilpa's presence in the film anymore. There is a silver lining though as she has bagged a UTV project called SEASON GREETINGS. The film has other bigger names like Sohail Khan, Tabu and Shreyas Talpade but it is expected that Shilpa too would have an integral role to play in the film.
Something similar is expected in FROZEN as well which boasts of a male cast dominating the show. Apart from Danny Denzongpa, some other prominent names in this film (which has entirely been made in B&W) are Raj Zutshi, Yashpal Sharma, Aamir Bashir, Shakeel Khan and Denzil Smith.
Produced and directed by Shivajee Chandrabhushan, FROZEN (which is set in Ladakh), is aiming for an early May release.
