Aarti Chabria hasn't shot for a Hindi film for more than one and a half years now but she has no regrets about that. As per the young actor who has made her presence felt in movies like SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA and her earlier film AWARA PAAGAL DEEWANA, it is better to wait, watch and carefully sign a film rather than rush it up and get into a messy affair.
''I have refused over 18 films in last one year and honestly, it isn't something that I say with a lot of pride'', says Aarti who would soon be seen in Indra Kumar's DADDY COOL, ''In fact I feel very bad when I have to refuse a project. But then in each of these films, there was something or the other that didn't excite me. Either I didn't have much faith in the producer or the hero was a newcomer, something which I am not comfortable with at this point in my career.''

Though personally she felt bad for not doing these projects, professionally it was a right decision being made.
''What was the point in doing a film when I would have felt guilty about it today. Other than these 18 films, I have said no to countless item numbers and special appearances but it's okay, I would rather do something nice and exciting'', she says.
Well, she is indeed doing something nice and exciting down South at least where she is currently shooting for her Kannada film title RAJNI. She is paired opposite Kannada superstar Upendra in this film which is a remake of a super hit Telugu film KRISHNA. On Bollywood front, she awaits the release of DADDY COOL, MILENGE MILENGE (that she had signed in the early days of her career) and TOSS that has Prashant Raj (who had reprised Amitabh Bachchan's role in RAM GOPAL VARMA KI AAG) as her costar.
