Now it's Shiney's turn to play himself in CHALOO MOVIE

In Vinod Pande's CHALOO MOVIE, Shiney Ahuja would be playing himself i.e. a Bollywood hero. As per Vinod Pande, he wanted a handsome looking actor in the film and during the casting of CHALOO MOVIE, he immediately thought of Shiney Ahuja.
Confirms the director whose last release was Sherlyn Chopra starrer RED SWASTIK, ''CHALOO MOVIE has a Bollywood backdrop and the script required a handsome looking young film star. Also, we didn't want to cast someone in the film who is not a film star in real life. That would have looked fake. This is why I penciled in Shiney for the film. He would be playing himself in CHALOO MOVIE.''
Incidentally, while 70%-80% of the film has already been shot, Shiney's part would be shot in a few days from now.

''Other actors in the film have more or less shot for their part'', informs Vinod, ''The main protagonist of CHALOO MOVIE is Rajpal Yadav who is shown to coming from an absolutely low strata of society. The story begins with him selling tickets in black and how he creates havoc in life of other characters. We needed an ordinary looking boy for the role and Rajpal just suited the part.''
A comedy, CHALOO MOVIE also stars Shekhar Suman as a part of an ensemble cast. ''Shekhar Suman is a riot in the film. In fact the relationship that he shares with Rajpal is akin to that of Tom and Jerry. For me, these two characters are the cartoon symbols of my film. Not to forget Vrijesh Hirjee who is simply incredible in the film.''
CHALOO MOVIE, which is looking at a release in the second half of 2009, also stars Hrishita Bhatt, Divya Dutta, Gulshan Grover, Manoj Joshi and Rakesh Bedi.
