Horror genre and Louis Wilson go hand in hand. After making HO SAKTA HAI, KAALO and LONAVALA KHANDALA GHAT, his next horror film 8 has just been announced. The film maker reveals that it an indirect way, it was Amitabh Bachchan who was the real reason behind his fixation for horror genre.

Louis has created quite a stir by stating that Amitabh Bachchan is the reason behind his turning into a film maker who specializes in horror movies. "It was exactly 25 years back when I had come for a mini vacation to Mumbai. I can recollect that I went along with my entire family to watch SHARAABI at Milan theatre. Audience response for SHARAABI was deafening and I was mighty impressed with the way audiences were rooting for Amitabh Bachchan's character in the film."

He continues, "It was like an event of sorts. The craze for Amitabh Bachchan was phenomenal and I could see SHARAABI becoming a huge hit. Enjoying myself thoroughly, I was totally immersed in the film till interval point came."

CHECK OUT : Wilson Louis' 8 adds on to the number game

And then?

"Well, this was the key moment that changed the course of direction for me and the way I looked at movies. During the interval, the trailer of a horror film made by Ramsay brothers was played. There was a pin drop silence in the theatre and though majority of audiences must have been relieved when the second half of SHARAABI began, my mind was into a completely different territory."

And when did he started thinking about horror?

"Exactly! While audiences remembered Big B, I remembered Ramsays. I decided there and then that when I would become a film maker, I would specialize in horror genre," reveals the filmmaker.
