It was a historic day for Whistling Woods International (WWI) Institute in Mumbai when it launched a new course for all MBA students to avail the opportunity of gaining full knowledge of media industry from the best of faculty and professionals in its campus. An MBA course designed and developed jointly by WWI and Manipal University had introduced India's first MBA degree course in media & entertainment last year.

''It's the biggest need of hour with fast expanding media and entertainment industry... we congratulate showman Subhash Ghai for taking this historic step and also Anand Sudershan from Manipal University to create a wonderful bridge between MBA and media first time in India ...'' said Ronnie Screwala from UTV.

Amit Khanna, Chairman, Reliance Entertainment applauded Whistling Woods for taking such historic step and assured a great career ahead for students here.

Bollywood's renowned filmmakers like Manmohan Shetty, Harish Daryani, Ramesh Sippy, John Mathew Mathan, Ketan Mehta and Sunil Darshan were the other distinguished guests to participate in inaugural ceremony at whistling woods campus.

Welcoming the first batch of 50 students from Manipal University Mr. Subhash Ghai, Founder and Chairman, WWI said, ''This is a momentous period for WWI to welcome the first batch of management students into WWI campus. We are proud to be associated with the Manipal University who believed in our vision to provide a professional management course in media and entertainment. With this we have moved one step forward towards the true meaning and value of Industrialization of Indian cinema.''

Whistling woods recently set up its school in Spain too.
