Ram Gopal Varma's AGYAAT releases on theaters this Friday. Nearly a decade back, Ramu had made another film which was again set in a 'jungle'. The film was Fardeen Khan, Urmila Matondkar, Sushant Singh and Suneil Shetty starrer JUNGLE (2000). Since he has explored a 'jungle' before, how has AGYAAT turned out to be any different from the shooting experience perspective?

"Yes, I had made JUNGLE with Fardeen and Urmila way back and had always wondered if I wanted to get back into a forest and shoot a movie again. Then I saw this 'jungle' in Sri Lanka and was really fascinated by it. I went ahead and shot AGYAAT in a manner that no one has captured on frame till date."

Before he went to Sri Lanka for recce, were there any other locations that he explored for the setting of AGYAAT?

"Yes. In fact I was very concerned about the look of the locations", says Ramu, "The subject of AGYAAT was such that it was embodied in locations. The film had to be shown and felt in a way that a 'jungle' has never been caught before. I went through quite a few jungles but this one was never seen before. I had seen some photographs earlier and pronto decided to make a personal visit. This way the Sigiriya forest in Sri Lanka worked most and was soon the chosen one for AGYAAT."

So with the film, is he exploring the adage that the 'power of unseen' is far mightier than something can be felt or seen? There have been quotes from him that the 'killing creature' won't be seen in the film till the very end.

"Yes, that's true. Otherwise what's the fun in revealing it? I guess the only film which would be close to AGYAAT where you haven't seen an antagonist is THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT", he says.
