Arshad Warsi's first home production, KAUN BOLA, under his banner Shooting Stars is underway. It's a film very close to Arshad's heart as he has scripted it himself and is being directed by Kabeer Kaushik of SEHER fame.

Arshad himself is very excited about his film, which he terms as a bizarre love story. When queried further he elaborated that KAUN BOLA is a romantic drama with a pinch of comedy thrown in. The story is strange in the sense that it deals with the point of view of two people, where each one is right in his/her place. This is a difficult truth to digest as in most movies one character is right and the other wrong. But this is not the case in KAUN BOLA. He adds further that the film will carry the WHEN HARRY MET SALLY kind of magic. Pretty interesting!
While on KAUN BOLA, the film also stars Dia Mirza, Boman Irani, Sandhya Mridul and Zehra Naqvi and will see a late 2009 release.
