Will LIFE PARTNER prove another PARTNER for Govinda?

Producers Burmawala Partners comprising of the number one thriller director duo Abbas-Mustan, their editor brother Hussain Burmawala and Studio 18, come together for a drama-comedy, LIFE PARTNER. The director Rumi Jaffri is an old war horse in Hindi cinema and not new to comedy, having written hilarious scripts as well dialogues for the once upon a time comedy king, director David Dhawan.
Naturally, through David, Rumi Jaffri's partnership with ex-comedian No. 1, Govinda goes a long way back, both having worked together in many hit comedies. Prominent amongst them are JODI NO 1, HASEENA MAAN JAYEGI and BADE MIYAN CHHOTE MIYAN.

Govinda made a comeback of sorts with Priyadarshan's BHAGAM BHAG and PARTNER, but in both the cases he could not take sole credit for the success of the films. In BHAGAM BHAG, he was completely overshadowed by Akshay's histrionics and in PARTNER, there was Salman Khan to partake in the success, though Govinda was in vintage form (unlike in BHAGAM BHAG) so in a way PARTNER can be termed as more of a comeback than BHAGAM BHAG for him. So, much depends upon LIFE PARTNER for the absolute return of Govinda, and there are stars like Tusshar Kapoor and Fardeen Khan (both of whom are excellent in comedy!), and of course the JAANE TU.YA JAANE sensation, Genelia D'Souza to support him in his efforts.
Moreover, Govinda comes back after a long hiatus with Rumi Jaffri and one is sure, especially after the superb theatrical promo of LIFE PARTNER, that just like their earlier hit films, the Rumi-Govinda team would prove to a triumphant one, once again.
