Anupam Kher scores a hat trick again

It's raining movies for Anupam Kher. Just a few weeks back he had as many as three films of his releasing in a span of a fortnight. These were MORNING WALK (10th July), SANKAT CITY (10th July) and PERFECT MISMATCH (24th July). There was a gap of just one week when there was no films of his hitting the theaters.

However, beginning with TEREE SANG last weekend (7th August), Anupam Kher is now back with a vengeance. He would be having a release practically every weekend from here on with LIFE PARTNER arriving this Friday (14th August) and YEH MERA INDIA (21st August) coming a week later. This would make it as many as six films of his releasing in theaters in a matter of just about one month.

What is commendable though is the way he is switching genres week after week. LIFE PARTNER is an out and out comedy and it would see Kher returning with director Rumi Jaffery after GOD TUSSI GREAT HO. Last week's TEREE SANG saw Kher (who is also a co-producer of the film) in a dramatic outing where he played the brief role of a judge and was seen announcing a historic judgement. On the other hand YEH MERA INDIA seems quite an interesting venture for him as he would be returning with N. Chandra, the man who gave him a memorable role to enact in TEZAAB more than a couple of decades back.

There would be a breather for Anupam Kher after YEH MERA INDIA but a month later, he would be seen on the big screen again with Yash Raj Films' DIL BOLE HADIPPA! And before the year ends, one of his major releases would be Jagmohan Mundhra directed APARTMENT. The old man of SAARANSH is certainly not resting!
