Remember Urvashi Sharma, the female lead of Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna starrer NAQAAB, who made quite an impression with her very first film? This Delhi girl was hailed as one of the most complete debutants to have arrived in 2007 and made quite an impression by displaying very good range in emoting.

However, since she was tied down by an 8 film contract with TIPS, she couldn't sign projects with other banners. Wasn't it painful?

''It was painful but what can one do'', she shrugs, ''I didn't have a choice. Ideally, after NAQAAB, I would have wanted to work 24/7. But then there is no point crying that 'Oh no, I wasted one year of my professional career'.''

She doesn't believe in holding any grudges though.

''See, the best part of the contract was that I got to do NAQAAB'', she says in a diplomatic tone, ''For someone like me who comes form a middle class Delhi family and trying her luck in Mumbai, one has to be prepared about 'faayda' as well as 'nuksaan'. One has to look at the silver lining. After all there was so much of appreciation that I got from NAQAAB. Now it has to be seen that whether in my next film, I am better or worse than NAQAAB. I feel confident though that I have taken one step ahead.''

Based on true events, BAABARR (which releases on 28th August) tells the story of a namesake dreaded killer whose reign of fear terrorized everyone, right from the common man to the Government, in a Northern state of India. Debutant Soham Shah (not to be confused with the director of KAAL and LUCK) plays the title role while Urvashi Sharma plays his love interest.
