A product of Delhi's famous St. Columbus school and the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce, Anuj Sawhney did his MBA from US in International Corporate Finance and International Corporate Marketing. He comes from a highly well placed family and has a good export business going.
However, acting runs in his blood. Not many will know (as the shy and humble actor does not like to reveal) that his acting lineage goes back to the master actor, the late Balraj Sahni and his well known son Parikshit Sahni. But Anuj preferred to go the hard way and did not capitalize on his family connections.

He attended Barry John's acting school and also engaged classes later on. Anuj made a fine debut with Nitin Manmohan's NAYEE PADOSAN. He followed it up with a good performance in Shri Ashtavinayak's comic adventure FUN2SSH, opposite a stalwart like Paresh Rawal. Then came the horror flick NAINA, opposite the then 'Rangeeli' Urmila Matondkar, where Anuj essayed the role of a dignified doctor with pan. Later he won accolades for his performance as an innocent postman in the hard hitting CHINGAARI, opposite Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen. He also won many a hearts with his dumb act in Deepak Tijori's TOM DICK AND HARRY.
Realizing that things were not exactly going the way as he had planned, Anuj took a break, hit the gym, developed a six pack abs like SRK, took stock of things, sorted out his career and is back with a vengeance, with many new films, prominent amongst them being BRIDES WANTED, 3 NIGHTS 4 DAYS and MR. FRAUD etc. And with the way things are going we are sure that there are many more bigger and better project to come.
