This Friday sees an almost open week as there is just S.R. Gems Pvt. Ltd.'s Ravi Kapoor directed WORLD CUP 2011. However, despite having the passion of India, cricket, as its backdrop, the film is going to be clean bowled on the first day itself!
Moving on to Shimit Amin's ROCKET SINGH - SALESMAN OF THE YEAR, the low key publicity strategy of Yash Raj's Ranbir Kapoor and Shazahn Padamsee starrer seems to have failed. Released at 106 cinemas of Bombay-Thane (by Yash Raj Films Distributors) the film had a poor start. Outside of Mumbai ROCKET SINGH saw a weak start almost everywhere. There was pick up during the weekend (best in Delhi-NCR) but it was not enough. The film has also disappointed in the Overseas, grossing a poor £67,389 from UK and a somewhat better $164,649 from the US, during the opening weekend (11-13 December).
