With hat trick of films, Kunal Khemu comes back with a bang

As a lead actor, Kunal Khemu made quite a promising start. His KALYUG (2005) was a hit while TRAFFIC SIGNAL (2007) showed him in a different light altogether. This was not all as DHOL, which came a few months later, was a reasonable success too, hence making it three-in-a-row for Kunal Khemu who had started off as a child artist way back in 1993 with SIR. Suddenly it seemed that Bollywood had got one more leading hero material.

However, Kunal decided to go a little slow and the entire 2008 saw just one release of his - SUPERSTAR. The film failed at the box office but Kunal Khemu's double role performance won him some more fans. And now 2009 is all set to see the return of Kunal Khemu with a bang, what with as many as three of his films lined up for release in quick succession.

First to come will be DHOONDTE REH JAAOGE, a UTV production, where Kunal Khemu plays the central protagonist. A full on comedy, the film also features Sonu Sood and Paresh Rawal in principal roles. Soha Ali Khan is the leading lady in DHOONDTE REH JAAOGE which is all set for 6th March release. The promotion of the film has kick started and is managing to catch some eyeballs.

Soon to follow will be JAI VEERU which at the moment is looking at a 13th March release. If this happens, it would be two in a row for Kunal Khemu who has been waiting for a film of his release for quite some time now. Even JAI VEERU was supposed to arrive in 2008 but got delayed due to various reasons. In this comic action thriller, Kunal would be seen along with Fardeen Khan, Dia Mirza and Anjana Sukhani.

Third release of Kunal will be 99 which is looking at arriving on 1st May. Touted to be a dramatic thriller, the film has got a powerful star cast comprising of Vinod Khanna, Boman Irani and Mahesh Manjrekar. Soha Ali Khan is the leading lady opposite Kunal Khemu.

Here is looking forward to a new innings of Kunal Khemu in the first half of year 2009!
