John Abraham with his fab display of wings and six packs took Bollywood by storm in DOSTANA and ended up becoming one of the most popular 'pin up' boys. His pairing with Abhishek made the couple the most lovable. After DHOOM, it was DOSTANA which proved to be one of John's biggest commercial hits. However, the actor seems to be hardly pleased with his performance in the last year.
'In 2009, I have Kabir Khan's NEW YORK, David Dhawan's HOOK YA CROOK with Uday Chopra and if it releases then AASHAYEIN. I wish the film sees the light of day as soon as possible as it is so far my most intense performance. It gave me a lot of creative satisfaction as an actor. 2009, seems good for me', said John who is in Mumbai for a few days before he gets back to shooting for Abbas Tyrewala's romantic comedy DIAL 1800 set in the US.

Never mind his work, there's much focus on his workouts these days - those six pack abs, the butt workout et al... But John is quick to praise his contemporaries instead of blowing his own trumpet! 'A lot of actors need to be given credit for their bodies - Aamir's in GHAJINI is superb and so was Shahrukh's in OM SHANTI OM, however ask me to pick the best, and I'd choose Shah Rukh in CHAK DE INDIA. As far as my body is concerned, I was highly inspired by Sylvester Stallone when I was young' revealed John.
