Shahid Kapur has now proved to everyone that he is the real deal. Perhaps surprising given the fact that he had just one film in 2008 KISMAT KONNECTION which opened to full houses! After that Shahid kept a low profile as he was shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj's KAMINAY for which his look is being kept under wraps.
Shahid in 2009 has the best of projects and the maximum number of releases- four back to back releases. Starting with Ahmed Khan's PAATHSHALA where he has a special appearance. Shahid has delivered a stunning performance in his cameo role in PAATHSHALA says best buddy and producer of PAATHSHALA Ahmed Khan. After PAATHSHALA, Shahid will be seen in Vishal Bharadwaj's most commercial film to date, KAMINAY.
All eyes are on Shahid's double role in KAMINAY. Shahid has a brand new look and a brand new physique for this role and apparently, everyone who has seen the rushes of KAMINAY can't stop raving about Shahid. Followed by Yashraj's next with Rani Mukherji and then of course, Ken Ghosh's musical for UTV. Also India's first ever all out dance movie and who better than the best dancer on the block, Shahid the dancing sensation himself!
The year is busy for Shahid who normally just does one film at a time. This year will see his four releases back to back after which he goes back to his one film a time strategy. Shahid will start shooting for his father Pankaj Kapur's film at the end of the year for which he will be changing his look again. He will be at that time only focusing on that one film and with the powerhouse Pankaj Kapur donning the director's cap; it promises to be a film to watch out for!
Looks like 2009 surely is going to be Shahid's year!
