Gul Panag: I have no idea how Ramu thought of me for RANN

RANN is in real terms a true blue multi starrer. Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Sudeep, Rajat Kapoor, Manisha Koirala - It's one powerful list. And then there is Gul Panag. Even though Gul has never been a part of any Ram Gopal Varma film in the past, she has bagged this prestigious project which is soon expected to be the talk of the town as it moves towards its release in the second half of the year.
Cliched as it may sound but how did she actually bag the role?

''That question can only be answered by Ramu'', she sighs, ''I have a mental list of people with whom I want to work with in my career and am lucky enough to be working with some of them in the coming months. There were three directors that I had been actively chasing up in last few years and Ramu too was in my list.''
She admits though that she hadn't really approached him for a role in any of his forthcoming films. ''That's right; I hadn't actively begun pursuing with him since I couldn't get hold of him. I was planning to reach out to him though and then all of a sudden I got a call from him. It was like a bolt of lightening. But frankly speaking, I have no idea how he thought of me!''
Smiling away, she makes a parting statement, ''I now don't have any plans whatsoever to ask him this question though. Why should I? I have bagged the part and am now eager to be directed by him. I am looking forward to RANN.''
