It's finally happening. Originally slated for a May 2009 release, LIFE PARTNER had to hold on for a while due to the producers strike. When the strike got over, it found itself in a queue and had to make way for a dozen odd films that were supposed to be released between April and June. Now that the backlog is being sorted out and a clearer picture is emerging, release date of LIFE PARTNER has been announced as 14th August.
With Govinda, Tusshar Kapoor and Fardeen Khan coming together in a film, it appears to be a hardcore comedy film in the offering. Is that indeed true?

Replies Tusshar who has had his fair share of slapstick comedies, most recently being GOLMAAL RETURNS, ''But LIFE PARTNER is not at all slapstick. Neither is it like a GOLMAAL RETURNS nor does it follow a NO ENTRY or a HEYY BABYY route. Instead it is more of a situational comedy.''
He goes on to term the movie as a semi-comedy.
''That's because the film also touches upon social issues and has elements of drama in it'', he explains, ''In fact you can say that it is like a Hrisihkesh Mukherjee film because it caters to the family audiences and also has great entertainment for the youth. However, it isn't as if we have taken a realistic route. Instead the film has been given a cool Bollywood treatment.''
