With two superhits VIVAAH and JAB WE MET and some prior solo successes under his belt, Shahid Kapur is definitely one of the most sought after and top ranked actor of Bollywood. And with four promising films ready for release in the second half of year 2009, it looks as if the year may well belong to the JAB WE MET star.

Theoretically Shahid has as many as four impressive films lined up for release. The first to hit the screens will be Vishal Bhardwaj's KAMINEY, which appears to be sure shot winner if its music and promos are any indication. Ditto for Yash Raj's DIL BOLE HADIPPA opposite Rani Mukherjee, where Shahid is once again in his most loved 'avatar', with his chocolate boy good looks and lover boy image! The film appears to be a nice family entertainer with a good dose of comedy. Next up is Ken Ghosh's YAHOO! , opposite the JAANE YU...YA JAANE NA star, Genelia D'Souza, which is dance oriented, and knowing Shahid's awesome dancing skills and the fact that the makers have hired Justin Timberlake's choreographer, it appears that with YAHOO the Shahid-Ken team will hit the jackpot once again. But there are now chances that the film may not come this year. And last but not the least, there is Ahmed Khan's PAATHSHALA, where Shahid is in a special appearance, that of a music teacher, which is also looking quite promising.
