Saif Ali Khan's portrayal as a Sardar in his upcoming film LOVE AAJ KAL has started generating controversies.
Now, the Punjab Cultural and Heritage Board wants explanation from the actor-turned producer about portraying the character belonging to the community in a different light. Their argument is that the Saif is spotting a very trim beard in the film which might invite the ire of the Sikh community.
Saif on the other hand is trying to play safe and is thinking of organizing a special screening of his film for the members of the Sikh community to assure them about his film being respectful to their religious sentiments.
Though, Imtiaz Ali has earlier showcased the Sikh community in his last film JAB WE MET without ruffling any feathers, we hope the director stays clear of all controversies this time too.
