Deepika Padukone: No problems working in multi starrers

Deepika Padukone started off with a double role in her very first film OM SHANTI OM. This was followed by playing one of the three women in BACHNA AE HASEENO. In her very next release though, CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA, she was back to playing a double role while in her Friday release LOVE AAJ KAL she is enjoying all the attention all over again. In her forthcoming release HOUSEFULL though, she has Lara Dutta as well as Jiah Khan for company. Doesn't she feel that from being THE leading lady, she is being one of the leading ladies in this Sajid Khan directed film?

"You have to see the kind of script that has been offered to you before making judgment around whether it is a solo heroine or a multiple heroine film", says Deepika from London where she is currently shooting for HOUSE FULL, "There are certain scripts which can't be complete without number of characters coming together; HOUSEFULL is one of them. Yes, the film is a multi starrer but frankly, I don't have a problem working in such films. How does my role fit in the film? Well, of course it had to be meaty enough for me to say yes."
Starring Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in the lead, HOUSEFULL is a Sajid Nadiadwala production that also has Riteish Deshmukh in an important role. After the London stint, the film would be moving to Italy in a start to finish schedule that gets over in the month of September. Touted to be a non-stop laugh entertainer, the film's story is currently being kept tightly in wraps with little or no information being shared about the basic plot.
